OUR VISION
Physio Works Kapiti started in 2015 with a simple vision in mind - to deliver the best customer service and clinical care pathways for all our patients. Since then we have set about delivering our vision for how we believe a Physiotherapy service should be experienced.
Musculoskeletal injuries have the potential to cause pain and prevent us from performing at our daily best. Physiotherapy at Physio Works Kapiti encompasses an accurate assessment and diagnosis, effective treatment planning and the best rehabilitation to allow you to perform at your best.

The team at Physio Works Kapiti is made up of skilled wellness professionals who are dedicated to getting our patients back to optimal health. We offer a range of specializations and skills to meet the individual needs of each one of our patients.
PAUL MAUGA
Director and Advanced Physiotherapist
BPhty (Otago); PG Cert (Acup), MH Prac (Musculo) (AUT)
Paul studied Physiotherapy in Otago University and qualified in 1999. Since graduating he has worked both in hospitals and private practices in the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
In 2009 he completed his Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and gained Post-graduate qualifications in Western Acupuncture.
Paul has worked with a number of elite athletes and sporting teams over the years and enjoys adapting his skills to the broad spectrum of clients he sees. He has a special interest in spinal injuries, shoulder and knee injuries.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young boys as well as running, mountain biking and weight training.
KATE MAUGA
Director & Neurological Rehabilitation Physiotherapist
BPhty (Otago), PG Cert Neurorehab (AUT)
Kate completed her Physiotherapy degree at Otago University in 1999 and postgraduate studies in neurorehabilitation at AUT in 2007. Kate has worked in rehabilitation in New Zealand and the United Kingdom both in hospitals and community based services. Kate has worked with people with a wide range of neurological conditions and has particular interest in the rehabilitation of stroke, head injury and spinal cord injury. Kate is also able to provide vestibular rehabilitation and treat BPPV.
Kate is kept busy raising their two young sons and enjoys running, going to the gym and getting into the outdoors with her family.
ELTON SUE
Advanced Physiotherapist
BPhty (AUT)
Elton completed his Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy from AUT since 2018. After graduating Elton worked in Hamilton in Private Practice and with Premiere Rugby teams before moving to the Kapiti Coast in 2022. Elton works with clients with Musculoskeletal injuries, Sports athletes and does work with the Elderly in Rest home care. In his spare time Elton enjoys going to the gym and spending time with his family and friends.
LINDEN SPRUNT
Advanced Physiotherapist
Grad Dip Phys (UK), Dip MT, Cred MDT, MPAANZ
Linden Is a UK qualified physiotherapist who work in the UK National Health Service, before moving to NZ in the early 90s. Linden has worked in Private Practice in NZ, where she has honed her postgraduate skills. She has practiced Western Acupuncture for 30 years and is an active member PAANZ (Physiotherapy Acupuncture Association NZ). Linden has a postgraduate diploma in Manipulative therapy (Dip MT, 2001), is a Credentialed McKenzie method therapist (MDT-mechanical diagnosis and therapy) and an experienced Mulligan practitioner ( mobilisation with movement). She has 6 years’ experience in assessment, teaching and practical application of Clinical Pilates, with a strong rehabilitation background.
Linden’s strongest asset is; her continued curiosity to solve a problem, and to work to refine her skills to be the best clinician she can be.
She has been an active participant in many sports; playing, coaching and umpiring field hockey for 18 years, and now plays socially. Linden keeps her fitness up by cycling, walking, swimming and promising she will return to actively using the gym.
